Cable Joints and Terminations
SEVENSTARS mainly manufactures three types of cable joints and cable terminations, i.e. outdoor or indoor cold shrink type, heat shrink type and prefabricated type.
There are distinct differences among the three types cable joints and terminations. After production completion, the cold shrink terminal will be expanded till it’s 2-3 times larger than the original one. Then a supporting bar will be put into it, which can be extracted during terminal installation for locking up.
The heat shrink termination adopts coal gas baking technology to realize product shrinkage for easy installation. In contrast, the prefabricated cable termination is ready-made with appropriate dimension and can be directly installed with no need for expansion or baking.
To wipeout fire hazard, currently, the heat shrink type is less used. As one of our featured products, the cold shrink termination is provided for both outdoor and indoor uses. It is also available with various specifications.
