The dot LED lights are usually made in round or oval shapes for decorative andlarge-scale video applications on building exteriors. They are small ormedium-sized, with pixel pitches ranging from 30mm to over 100mm, and are fullcolor, tunable white, white and monochrome. The pixel LED lights come in strands of10 dots in a length of 1.5m with many mounting methods ranging from steelwires, clip brackets, and aluminum profiles. Choose between a clear or frostedflat diffuser for direct viewing or a dome diffuser for wide angle viewing. Individualmounting allows for complex geometrical structures on building exteriors,walls, bridges, entertainment centers, and casinos. Round spotlights are usedfor wall grazing and accent lighting.

Accent Lighting

Accent lighting directs your attention to a particular decorativeobject or area. Outstanding accent lighting can be achieved through play withlight and shadow and dramatic contrasts of light temperatures to match thespace. Sometimes the accent lighting fixtures are part of the décor, but mostoften the light is meant to be ornamental.

Accent lighting can be done through a wide range of fixtures andapplications, from small spotlights for illuminating artwork, sculptures andsmall architectural and landscape features, to pendants for subtle illuminationin restaurants or bars or for providing decorative points of white orcolor-changing light, to immersible luminaries for illuminating fountains,pools, docks and so on.

Direct View Lighting

Rather than illuminating spaces, direct-view fixtures displayfull-color complex, dynamic images and large-scale video with color-changingeffects. Linear and pixel node fixtures can create two- and three-dimensionaldisplays on any scale and any structure for stunning indoor video display toexterior video displays on buildings visible for miles.

Because direct-view LED fixtures are used for different purposesthan other LED fixtures, their light output is measured in candela per squaremeter or nits. Controllers specifically designed for direct-view installationscan sample and stream video to fixtures via an Internet connection. StrongLED’sRTP 9800 series can control up to 300 million pixels.
