XQ114/6YB Hydraulic Power Tongs
Model XQ114/6YB hydraulic power tongs are a type of medium-sized clamping device, widely used to make up and break apart joints on drill pipes and other tubular members during the well drilling and repairing operation. Desirable features of XQ114/6YB power tongs are listed as follows.
1. The hand-operated directional control valve is used on the master tongs for motion control. It allows the backup tongs to synchronize with master tongs in pipes making-up and breaking-out motion. This control manner brings together the master tongs and backup tongs for enhanced operational reliability and flexibility.
2. By using different jaw plates installed on the tongs, tubular members and joints of various sizes can be handled with one piece of device.
3. Big speed differences between gear shifts give the hydraulic power tongs a high speed at the high gear and a big torque at the low gear.
4. The brake and the directional control valve are installed in the head of the tong is reliable in performance and convenient in assembly, adjustment and repair.
5. Beneath the master tongs, there are backup tongs moving up and down. The backup tong hose is connected to the master tong with joint. Various jaw plates can be installed on both the master tongs and backups so that they can grip joints on the drill string and tubular members of different specifications. In addition, the jaw plate can be easily fitted to the tong.
Note: The jaw plate is also called the tong die.
6. The torque meter is available for being installed onto the back of the backup tong. It displays, records, and controls the torque applied to the hydraulic tongs.
