DQ178/40Y Hydraulic Power Tongs
The DQ178/40Y hydraulic power tongs are very handy on oil drilling and servicing projects, where they are used to assemble or break apart the 2 7/8″-4″drill pipes，2 7/8″-41/2″tubing and 4 1/2″-7″casing.
Features
1. The complete set of hydraulic tongs is comprised of master tongs and hydraulic tongs, which can operate separately and flexibly.
2. The master tongs and backup tongs adopt the negative camber roll climbing two way clamping mechanism to provide more aggressive, reliable grip onto the production tubing, joints, and couplers.
3. The power tong head uses brake bands to slow down or stop the tongs from rotating. High braking torque ensures maximum operating safety. The brake bands are just simple to operate, and easy to adjust and replace.
4. Low-alloy manganese steel is used to make the casing of our power tong, resulting in enhanced rigidity.
5. The gripping jaw plates, tooth dies, and open-throat ring gears are constructed from alloy steel through forging and heat treating process, thereby ensuring enough mechanical strength when working at the highest torque.
6. By simply hitting the reset button, the master tongs and backup tongs return to the original operating position easily and safely.
7. Extended front and rear guide rods make it possible for backup tongs to be used on the couplers, joints, and oil tubes.
8. The master tongs come with the door interlock that blocks the hydraulic fluid from reaching the motor preventing tong operation anytime the door is open. The blocking operation is carried out by the hand-operated directional control valve. The whole assembly is safe, convenient to use. The door interlock is covered by patent number ZL 200820160143.9.
8. Model 20YB hydraulic power tongs can be equipped with the tong-torque gauge. They also provide ports for connecting devices that can measure the number of turns of the gauge. This facilitates the torque control by computers.
