The calcium alginate in the non-woven fiber of the dressing can react with wound exudates, forming a kind of gel and then providing a moist wound environment.
Directions
1. Cleanse and irrigate the wound side.
2. Use the calcium alginate dressing on the moist wound.
3. Loosely bandage the deep wound.
4. Cover the wound with a secondary dressing
5. Reapply the dressing if needed or follow the advice of health care professional.
6. The calcium alginate dressing comes in calcium alginate pad and calcium alginate strip.
