Under Counter Safes
The under counter safes are for the short time storage of cash or check. They are also known as under counter drop safe because a slot is designed for dropping deposits without the need to unlock the safe. These safes are usually securely positioned next to a cash register or cash receipts area to reduce the cash exposure chances. The under counter safes are very popular in retail, school, athletic club, and so on.
When choosing an under counter safe, you should look for heavy gauge steel construction, heavy duty hinges, pre-drilled anchor holes and quality locks. The safes should have a drop slot that is adequately sized to allow filled envelopes to be dropped in. An "anti-fish" baffle is also necessary to prevent pilferage or fishing.
