The C section is a cold formed structural steel. As a construction material, it is thin, lightweight, and has high strength. Compared with the traditional steels of equal strength, the C-shaped profile steel saves materials by 30%.

The C section is widely used to make the purlin or the wall girder of steel structures. It can also be assembled into lightweight building components, such as roof trusses and brackets. In addition, in the manufacturing of light machinery, it is adopted to make columns, beams, and arms.
