Abamectin is a mixture of avermectins containing about 80% avermectin B1a and 20% avermectin B1b. These two components, B1a and B1b, have very similar biological and toxicological properties.

Avermectins are insecticidal or miticidal compounds derived from soil bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis. Abamectin is a natural fermentation product of this bacterium. It acts as an insecticide by affecting the nervous system and paralyzing insects.

Applications
1. Our product is employed to control insects and mite pests for a range of fruit, vegetables and ornamental crops, such as citrus, pear, and nut tree crops. It is used by homeowners for control of fire ants.

2. This product also functions as an anthelmintic veterinary medicine. In spite of a growing problem, resistance to abamectin-based anthelmintics is not as common as that to other classes of veterinary anthelmintics.
