Features
1. Plastic sheet extrusion starts as raw material called resin. The incoming PET or PBT resin must be dry to prevent polymer degradation in the extruder. That is what we need this dehumidifying dryer for. Prior to drying, the resin can be pre-crystallized in the device. Mixing action is needed to tumble and agitate the resin so that it won’t crystallize completely. The dryer enables the resin to exchange heat with the hot atmosphere. During this process, moisture contained in the resin quickly evaporates and a crystallinity of 35% is achieved. The hot air exits the dryer from its top.
2. Unique extruder design, PLC of well-known brand, and case hardened gear ensure quality extrusions from this PET sheet extrusion line.
3. The housing of the melt pump is made of chromium alloy. The gearbox to which the pump is connected is constructed of chromium steel or other materials through quenching process. The bearing is made of graphite, zirconia, or case hardened tool steel for high rigidity and reliability.
4. Flexible seal is used on our sheet extrusion line to facilitate the change of filter screen. Double work stations are equipped with precision machined screens that resistant to wear and pressure. The screen offers larger effective filtering area and better filtering performance.
5. The edge trimmer can be operated either manually or automatically. Both the position of the cutter and the cutting width are freely adjustable. 6. The take-up machine is powered by a torque motor. Its winding speed is automatically controlled according to the level of web tension. Portable airshaft provides necessary support to the take-up drum on the PET sheet extrusion line.
