Insert Injection Mould
For customers who need to place threaded inserts into molded parts, A&R Technology provides you with this injection mold which is built with complex manufacturing processes to allow threaded inserts or other metal inserts to be placed into the mold cavity before injection.
Insert molding is often considered a highly effective alternative to the assembly of parts by soldering, adhesives or fasteners. It allows operators to add rigid, threaded inserts to the molded parts for future connection with other parts.
Made of S136 steel, this injection mold is sturdier, more corrosion resistant and precise than one constructed with 2316 steel. High corrosion resistance also allows the mold to maintain a slick, smooth surface over time. With this high-precision mold, users are sure to make a single strongly bonded, integrated bonded assembly with threaded inserts on it.
The outside dimension of this mold is 500mm×500mm×850mm. Built to high precision requirements, the mold utilizes a small sprue and cold runners design to ensure more precise products. It comes with 2 mold cavities of different shapes, which means the mold produces 2 different molded parts within a single molding cycle. Both ABS and polycarbonate resins can be injection molded in this tool. In practice, the mold can be reused half a million times before being wasted. This would save users a significant amount of investment that would go to the mould replacement and repair.
