Injection Mold for Mouse
NAK30 mold steel is used to make this injection mold for easy machining and welding. The resultant mold is able to retain its dimensional accuracy over long-term use. A smooth internal mold surface also makes it possible to produce a high quality molded computer mouse with good surface finish.
The mold has an external dimension of 650mm×650mm×500mm, and is assembled to high precision requirements. It comes with 1 sprue, or main channel, and 4 cold runners, also called side channels. It small sprue design eliminates the need of manually cutting off the sprue and cold runners after the molded product is done. Available also with 4 different cavities, the mold allows 4 different parts to be produced within a single molding cycle. It works optimally for ABS or PC resins and can be reused half a million times before being discarded. A significant amount of money can be saved from the process.
