Electricity is generated at an electric power plant. Almost all power plants require the use of a heat exchanger in electricity generation, which transfers heat from a heat source to water. The presence of corner ports as well as the corrugated plate design severely limits the ability of conventional plate heat exchanger for use in applications that require high heat transfer efficiency, high flow volume, and minimum pressure drop. In response to these special situations, JPVF has specially developed this high-efficiency closed loop water heat exchanger whose operating process involves water circulating in a closed loop for effective cooling of seawater and fresh water.

The new closed loop water cooling system features a structure of tubes and shell which are connected together via flanges plus bolts. In addition to many performance advantages commonly found in a plate heat exchanger, the new closed loop water heat exchanger also delivers minimized pressure drop, large volume flow processing ability, and high heat transfer efficiency even when there is only a small temperature difference between the two media.

JPVF series industrial-grade closed loop water heat exchanger offers choices of materials, baffle types, tube arrangements, and corrosion-resistant features. To elaborate on those options, we offer the following listings.
1. Media: fresh water, seawater (in a fresh water cooling system or a seawater cooling system)
2. Baffle types: single segmental baffle, double segmental baffle, disc and doughnut, patented vibration-resistant tube support baffle
3. Tubes: bare tubes and enhanced (finned) tubes of various specifications
4. Tube materials: TP304, TP316, TP316L, or TP317L stainless steel; H68A or HSn70-1 copper, TA1 or TA2 titanium
5. Corrosion-resistant features: carbon steel paint, carbon steel rubber liner, stainless steel clad plate, titanium clad plate
