The boron carbide abrasive is ash black crystal powder, standing out as one of the hardest artificial abrasives, whose hardness in only second to that of diamond. The artificial abrasive possesses 9.36 Moh's hardness, 5400-6300kg/mm2 micro hardness, 2.52g/cm3 specific gravity, about 2450℃ melting point, great resistance to high and low temperature, and extremely high grinding efficiency. Besides, the non-magnetic boron carbide abrasive will not conduct chemical reaction with strong acid nor strong alkali, ideal for replacing diamond.
