Cubic Boron Nitride
Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) is the second hardest material only inferior to diamond. The cubic boron nitride with high thermal conductivity and stable chemical resistance is suitable for working on ferrous material where diamond abrasive is not normally employed. The cubic boron nitride is well suitable for grinding hardened tool, alloy steel, die and nickel, cobalt-based super alloys.
We can get different colors like black, yellow, brown and amber CBN crystal by adjusting Nitride or Boron content during synthesizing process. By adjusting the TI(Tough Index) or TTI(Thermal Toughness Index), the friability and strength of the CBN can be controlled to satisfy different working requirements.
