The large air handling unit, or fan wall unit, is a highly efficient and energy-saving air conditioning device developed jointly by GRAD and Green Park from the U.S. A series of advanced technologies are used, and three technologies have been granted with national patents. Our first product with 200,000 m3/h air blowing capacity has been exported to the Philippines. It works perfectly in a solar battery production workshop.

The large air handling unit comes with a special draught fan, so the powder produced by belt abrasion can be avoided, and no secondary pollution can be produced. The whole device is easy to control and free from maintenance.

The fan blades are directly connected with the motor, thus the mechanical fault can be avoided.

3. Low working noise
The running speed of the motor is optimized, so the low frequency noise is greatly reduced when the large air handling unit is working. The high frequency noise can be eliminated more easily than the low frequency noise by the special noise reduction case.

4. High efficiency
Each motor is mounted at a place where it can work at a high efficiency. You can conveniently control the number of fan needed to be turned on. Thus no energy is wasted. For example, to modify an air conditioner with a 30000 m3/h air blowing capacity, if you choose our large air handling unit to replace the traditional two-inlet centrifugal fan, the electric current can be lowered from 39A to 26A. The energy-saving performance is significant.

5. Free combination of draught fans
The draught fans of the large air handling unit can be rearranged freely. Especially when the installation place is not high enough, our designer can make corresponding modification for the installation.

6. Small size and low initial investment
The length of draught fan section can be reduced by 50%. Especially for those units contain air blowing section and air return section, the plenum chamber for both the inlet air and outlet air can be shortened, and the air duct will be also reduced. Ultimately, the product cost becomes lower. For convenient shipping, the large air handing unit can be disassembled into small modules before loading. The modules can be easily assembled on site, so the installation cost is quite low.

7. Easy maintenance and low maintenance fee
For example, in a regular large air conditioning equipment with 200,000 m3/h air blowing capacity, there will be two 75kW motors. To replace a failed motor, you need to open the equipment and use a crane with a 60m arm. However, if you use our large air handling unit, two technicians can quickly remove the motor from the side door, so you don't have to open the roof of the shell. A draught fan can be used in several units, and the fan can be changed within 30 minutes, so the cost is quite low.

8. Low vibration
No spring shock absorber or concrete base is needed for the installation. All the draught fan units comes with a balance level of G1.0 (00021b-in/1b rotor weight) according to AMCA204-96. The residual unbalance will be tested at 2000rpm. According to the related Chinese standard, JB/T9101-1999, when the balance level is G2.3, the eccentric distance allowance is less than 8 micrometer which is higher for the G1.0 balance level (the specific value is not listed in the standard). Due to the significant reduction of air flow disturbance in the air pipe, the shell's indirect vibration can be also reduced.

Stable Performance
All draught fans are separated from each other, making sure the maintenance or breakdown of certain draught fan will not impact the whole operation.
