Sharp Edge Tester
As a toy testing machine, the sharp edge tester determines whether metal or glass edges on toys intended for children under 8 years of age will cause cut-type injury in normal use or foreseeable abuse.
Feature
1. The automated sharp edge tester uses a metal housing to ensure its durability, and its elongated foot pedal greatly simplifies operating process.
2. Thanks to the unique photoelectric force indicator, a force of 1.35 lbf is applied on the mandrel in a stable and accurate way, thus eliminating reading error which is very likely to take place when reading at different angles. In addition, this force can be adjusted easily by an external calibration device to make it conform to the displayed value.
3. For this sharp edge tester, its rotating mandrel is manufactured from steel, and it receives hardening treatment.
4. The rotation of the mandrel produces a constant tangential velocity of 1.00±0.08 inch per second during the center 75 percent of its rotation, and the applied tape for this motorized sharp edge tester is pressure sensitive polytetrafluoroethylene (TFE) high temperature electrical insulation tape.
