The floor mat for drop test, sometimes called impact medium or impact surface, is a standardized surface onto which a toy is dropped from a certain height for several times, and then the toy is inspected to see if there are any sharp edges, sharp points or small parts. The floor mat is often used as an integral part of a drop tester.
