A pulsation damper absorbs pulses resulting from the pressurized system’s stroking action. It improves pumping performance by smoothing out pressure peaks and producing steady flows. In-house testing shows that Depamu pulsation dampers can absorb 90% to 95% of pulsating flows.
Types of Pulsation Dampener
1. Bladder dampener - stainless steel, carbon steel; bladder material - NBR, butyl rubber, fluorine rubber, EPDM, chloroprene rubber
2. Diaphragm damper -stainless steel, carbon steel, PVC, PTFE; diaphragm material - PTFE rubber (double-layer)
3. Bellows dampener - stainless steel
4. Pulsation dampener with direct gas-liquid contact - stainless steel, carbon steel
