The pressure tank is a great addition to any potable water supply system and works superbly well with the water pump. When the pipeline or pumping system is at a pressure lower than the preset value for the pressure switch, the pump starts work. As the water pressure increases, the expanding water flows into the expansion tank. When the system pressure reaches that preset value, it triggers the pressure switch which in turn stops the working pump.

The moment the water pump suddenly stops working, the system experiences a surge in pressure which is termed as water hammer. What an pressure tank can do at this point is soften the impact of water hammer and release water pressure to the pipeline as the potable water in the system is transferred to the end user. The pumping cycle will start again when the pressure within the pumping system drops below the set point. Because the expansion tank releases pressure into the pumping system, it will take longer for the system pressure to decrease below the pre-set value. Therefore, the number of pumping cycles needed in a particular situation is reduced. This extends the life of the pump and saves energy.

1. Hydro-DEZHI
Available with a rubber membrane (either a membrane type or a bladder type), the Hydro-DEZHI pressure tank features an exquisite design that fits in areas where a regular tank can’t. The tank body is a deep-drawn part that is stretched into its present shape in one pass through the ironing ring. This process ensures there is no sharp points nor burrs inside the tank. A burr-free interior is desirable because it won’t scratch the rubber membrane in severe working conditions. American standard nozzle facilitates the adjustment of air pressure inside the tank.

2. WATER-DEZHI
The Water-DEZHI pressure tank comes with a removable bladder that is easy to replace and repair, which suits the tank for use in modern potable water supply system. American standard nozzle allows easy air pressure adjustment. This tank holds more water than an ordinary pressure tank.
