Regardless of the shape and features they come with, all power capacitors are designed for one thing, which is to store electric energy. A power capacitor is a good way to boost the power factor rating of your power grid. Power factor is a measure of what percentage of power is used to do real work instead of going to waste. That being said, the power cap minimizes power loss and improves power supply efficiency.

Features of Power Capacitor
1. Both dry-type capacitor and gas-filled capacitor are available for use.
2. Imported film material used as the dielectric resists intense heat.
3. Minimized power loss, extended use life.
4. Specially designed and manufactured to deliver low internal resistance.
5. Packs large capacitor in a cylindrical aluminum case, which is a one-piece deep-drawn part. Dissipates heat quickly, lightweight, and space-saving.
6. Failure rate through 60,000 hours of test: 6 %
7. Standard compliance: E I A - 4 5 6 - A
8. Extra feature: Double protection, includes a secondary protective device and high pressure cut off switch.
9. Explosion proof. Automatically switches off the circuit during an electrical breakdown.

The so-called split-phase capacitor is rather a misleading term. There are few capacitor manufacturers that call their products that way. This low voltage capacitor is designed specifically for use on split-phase motors.

Because the split phase motor has both a run winding and a start winding, the split-phase capacitor actually combines a run capacitor and a start capacitor in one package.

Shuangfeng three-phase capacitor is most often connected in parallel with a low-voltage 50Hz or 60Hz power supply to boost power factor rating, minimize power loss, and enhance the capacity of the electrical transformer. This self-healing capacitor is an excellent power-saving supplement to any power system.

One downside to the use of rectifiers, variable frequency drives, large power motors, and shoddy energy-efficient lighting in a power or signal system is that it produces voltage and signal anomalies that tend to disrupt the normal run of the entire facility. A filter capacitor is a great way to filter out voltages, frequencies or currents that exceed the pre-set value, preventing power or signal circuit overload.

Housed in a cylindrical aluminum case, the cylindrical capacitor is electrically grounded with grounding bolts and fastened at the bottom to the ground with standard bolts. The self-healing capacitor also features an American style explosion-proof design with built-in bleeder resistor.

The intelligent capacitor uses a thin layer of polypropylene film as the dielectric, coated on both sides with conductive metals which operate as electrodes. When a high voltage applies to the capacitor, the dielectric breaks down and creates a short circuit between the anodes and cathodes.

Built with world-leading technologies, the low voltage capacitor is specially designed for use in heat treating furnaces to boost power factor rating, compensate for voltage drop, and minimize power loss. Each self-healing capacitor is held to IEC6081-1: 1996 standards, providing a great way to save energy in the power circuit.

This dry-type capacitor is oil-free, so toxic spillage or hazardous leak becomes less of a concern. Manufacturing and transport is also eco-friendly, as there is no handling of chemicals or impregnation liquids involved in the process.

Commonly used for metal halide fixtures as either a running capacitor or start capacitor. The metal halide capacitor has an explosion-protective device built in for maximum safety, and generates little heat, resists impact and overload, has high dielectric strength and large capacitance.
