Counterflow Cooler
Hot pellets coming off the pelleting line should not go into storage immediately and need to be cooled effectively to remove heat and moisture. Pellets cooling should be a gradual process done with a quality pellet cooler. FCM provides a range of counterflow coolers for cooling hot, wet pellet feed in a gentle, gradual and even manner.
This pellet cooler works with an airflow that moves opposite to the pellet flow. During the time the air flow and product flow pass each other, they exchange heat and moisture. Counter flow cooling allows hot pellets to cool down gradually rather than abruptly which avoids thermal shock so fracture or crack becomes less of an issue.
