ADSS cables contain fibers positioned in a loose tube made of high modulus plastic. The interior of the tubes is made of water-resistant FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), filled with a filling compound and a thin polyethylene (PE) inner sheath. Two layers of armed fiber is placed over the sheath to strengthen it and then coated with a PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath. The all dielectric self-supporting cable is used for aerial and long distance networks as well as local networks and networks in high electromagnetic interfering places. These long distance cables last over 30 years.
