ZSF series is a split winding transformer commonly used on rolling mills in steel plants for AC variable frequency drives. This rectifier transformer converts AC currents into rectified DC currents which can be supplied to a DC motor. By slightly tweaking its design, the rectiformer can provide multiple terminals for AC wiring.

Features of Rectifier Transformer
The split winding transformer uses a 3-limb iron core. There are primary and secondary windings wound concentrically around each limb (also called leg) of the iron core, representing each phase. So, there are three phases (legs) in total. Each phase can operate independently to power an individual load. Any combination of windings can connect in parallel as well. The advantage of a three-phase transformer over a gang of three interconnected single-phase transformers is that it occupies less space and is more economical.

Standards
IEC60076
GB10094

Capacities, Voltage Ratings
Available in capacities between 500~12500KVA
Voltage ratings: 6KV, 11KV, 35KV
Designed and manufactured according to customer-provided specifications in addition to related national standards.

Note
The split winding transformer splits the primary winding into sections which are then wound around three separate limbs of the core.
