True to its name, the multi-winding dry-type transformer has more than one primary or secondary winding. This means it can provide a range of output voltages instead of just one. Multi-winding transformer is typically used on large equipment requiring variable frequency drives, such as blowers and pumps. This power transformer can act as an intermediary that isolates the power source from the powered speed adjustment device for safety reasons.
