Applications
Delta to Wye Conversion
1. In power grids where third harmonic currents and common-code noise are a serious factor to consider, the delta-wye transformer can prevent these disturbances from entering the supply line.
2. The delta-wye transformer provides a new neutral-to-ground connection, which means added protection for the end-user equipment.
Wye to Delta Conversion
1. The Wye-Delta transformer prevents distorted current waveforms caused by non-linear loads.
2. Users can sample the electric current waveform at the input end of the Wye-Delta transformer to check if current distortion exists.
3. A Wye-Delta transformer can operate even when unbalanced loads are experienced on the power supply line.
