Overview

Load Bank Reactor/Inductor/Chokes are used in conjunction with back-up power generators which need to be run on a regular basis. Performing this function without or with little load may lead to a phenomenon called“wetstacking” which shortens the life of the diesel engine that runs the generator. The load bank is often specifically built to reflect the exact electrical characteristics, resistance, capacity and reactivity of the facility in question.

Application
This series of reactors are usually used in the resistive-reactive load banks for testing and maintenance of large AC power systems at rated kVA. Resistive-Reactive Load Banks offers a 0.80 power factor load and is designed for testing large generators, switchgear, transformers and UPS systems.
1. It is used to simulate inductive load in a system.
2. It is also used to compensate capacitive current in a system.
3. Inductive load must be connected across phase in a system.

Conditions of use
1. The highest temperature: 40 ℃
2. The lowest temperature:25 ℃
3. Altitude: <1000 m
4. The highest monthly average relative humidity: 90% (20 ℃)
5. Installation location: installed in no fire and explosion danger, serious foul, chemical corrosion and the site of violent vibration, indoor or outdoor.

Specification
Design: Iron core, Dry type, Natural air cool (AN) for indoor use
Operating temperature: Max. temperature rise, 90ºC at 40ºC ambient.
Over current: 105% rated current / voltage for 2 hours.
Inductance linearity: Linear type, up to 125% rated current.
Thermo-protection: Thermostat 145ºC NC included.
Insulation Class: F, Vacuum pressure impregnated varnish. Pure Nomex paper is used as layer insulation.
Dielectric strength: 3.0KV – 1 minute tested.
Construction: Core: Depend on size, 0.35 -0.5 low loss silicon steel. Multiple (distributed) gaps design.
Coil: Aluminum or copper wound coil.
Connection: Star, Star point is connected in the factory.
Noise: Depend on size, most shall be below 65 db.
Protection: could be designed by customer requirement
Standard apply: IEC289:1987 as shunt reactor
