Horizontal Dryer
A sleek, cleanly-looking steel cabinet makes this horizontal dryer a real eye-catcher. Built to carry ceramics through one or multiple passages in the cabinet for moisture removal and drying, this conveyor oven general layout can be divided into different sections, pre-drying, heating, constant-rate drying, falling-rate drying, and final drying (where equilibrium is reached).
In a multi-layer dryer, greenwares are carried on a series of rotary seamless steel pipes or low-grade ceramic rollers. The most suitable number of tiers (or layers) should be chosen based on the drying time a particular product needs: single, double, 3-, 4-, or 5-layer dryer.
Available in modular segments preassembled in factory, our horizontal dryer uses wool insulations to keep the inside cabinet warm and at a constant temperature. Each segment of the drying oven has inspection holes allowing operators to move broken wares out of the drying chamber as soon as they are found.
Our horizontal dryer is energy efficient because it uses recycled heat from the roller kiln. Hot air is forced into the drying oven from multiple points instead of one single point located along the oven. Specialized devices are used to remove moisture contained in the air, so the oven can always receive dry, hot air for fast drying of ceramic stocks.
Multi-point temperature data logger records and monitors the temperature curve from multiple points inside the oven. Variable speed conveyor rollers are driven by 45°pitch angle bevel gears. Adjustable drying cycle times.
