W-Beam Guardrail
Corrugated beam guardrails are produced in two kinds, W-beam guardrails and thrie-beam guardrails. Using Q235/Q345 steel, these safety barriers are designed to prevent cars from driving off the road and minimizing dangerous impacts.
They can be divided in two categories by surface treatment:
1. Hot dip galvanized.
2. Hot dip galvanized powder coated.
Two categories by installation site:
1. Roadside guardrails.
2. Isolation guardrails, also called median guardrails.
Function of W-Beam Guardrails:
I. Blocking: They can prevent vehicles and pedestrians from entering an area where they should not be.
II. Isolation: Separate cars, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians into different traffic lanes. Thus improving traffic safety for all.
III. Warning: they are usually installed with some sort of reflectors attached in order to alert drivers of their presence, particularly at night.

The grades of collision avoidance grades of corrugated highway guardrails can be divided in to A-class and S-class. S-class guardrails are enhanced for the roadside of particularly dangerous road sections. A grade guardrails are for accommodation highways. The grades of collision avoidance grades of common roadside guardrails cam be divided into 5 classes: B, A, SB, SA and SS.
