Cutting Tools for Grader Blades
The grader blade cutting bit is made from premium grade steel purchased from Baosteel and receives advanced heat treatments to ensure even heating. Various CNC machining tools and German ultra-high precision grinding tools are used to ensure high dimensional accuracy somewhere between 0.002mm and 0.005mm.
The head of the cutting tool is made from MK8C material, delivering a hardness level between 88-89HRA, density between 88-89HRA and a bend strength of 2400. The shank is of 42CrMo providing excellent wear resistance. The hot forging process gives the bit shank a relative high hardness level of 42-44HRC. The shank is not supposed to be too hard. Otherwise it would break easily. The washer for the grader blade bit is constructed from 65Mo, with a diameter of 44mm. It prevents the bit from direct physical contact with the tool holder thus minimizing wear and extending use life.
