Chemical Name: 1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10-Hexabromocyclododecane
CAS No.: 3194-55-6
Molecular Formula: C12H18Br6
Molecular Weight: 641.7

Shape and Properties
The hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) is a white crystalline powder. Theoretical bromine content is 74.71% and density is 2.36g/cm3. With excellent thermal stability and superior dispersity, the product is highly brominated flame retardant.

Main Applications
HBCD can not only be used as the flame retardant of XPS board, EPS (expanded polystyrene), polypropylene fiber and styrene resin, but it is also a good flame retardant additive for polyethylene, polycarbonate and unsaturated polyester plastics. In addition, it provides excellence for flame retardant treatment in fabric, styrene butadiene rubber, adhesives and coatings as well as unsaturated polyester resin.

Advantages
1. With high flame retardant efficiency, a very small amount of hexabromocyclododecane can reach excellent flame retardant effect, without having to add other auxiliary flame retardant.
2. It meets environmental protection requirements.
3. Compared with the traditional flame retardants, it features with low cost.
