Metal chip briquetting presses cold press metal scraps into compact regular shaped briquettes or cakes. Our scrap presses are suitable for metal scrap such as powdery, grainy and chips of iron, copper, aluminum and steel.
The density of the cakes or briquettes can reach 5.5T/m3 (without any binding agent)
The cakes can then be used as pig iron which can be directly put into the furnace for recycling.
For certain applications, briquetting presses can be designed to squeeze, collect and recycle the liquid mixed in with metal scrap. This feature makes these hydraulic presses more environmentally friendly by removing pollutants before they can be burnt in the furnace.
