Lithium Ion Battery Separator Diaphragm Extrusion Line
In a lithium ion battery, the separator gets the job of separating positive plates and negative plates and serving as an insulator that prevents electrons from passing through it.
Modern battery separators often use diaphragms with certain pore diameter and porosity to ensure low resistance and allow ions in the electrolytic solution to penetrate through the diaphragm smoothly. Because the solvent in the electrolytic solution is often highly polar organic compound, the diaphragm must be corrosion resistant with maximum chemical and electrochemical stability. It should also absorb the electrolytic solution well to keep itself wet enough. Other desirable properties include great puncture strength, high tensile strength, minimum thickness, good spatial stability and straightness, and maximum thermal stability and shut-off protection.
The power battery has even higher requirements for its diaphragm, which should be made of laminated films by advanced diaphragm extrusion equipment. In that case, the diaphragm should have higher shrink temperature in case it would cause an electrical short which might further lead to battery overheat. HANDERN battery separator diaphragm production line, or separator diaphragm extrusion line, is specifically designed to meet these requirements. For more information, please contact us directly.
