Using wool insulations for temperature maintenance, the 3-layer horizontal dryer can be divide into several distinct sections, where ceramic wares are carried on steel rollers through pre-heating, heating, constant-rate drying, falling rate drying, and final drying (as equilibrium moisture content is reached) processes.

Featured 3-layer roller dryer is a modular design comprising several modules pre-assembled in factory. There are inspection holes in each segment, allowing operators to remove broken wares as soon as they are found in the dryer.

The primary heat source for our 3-layer horizontal dryer is hot flue gas recycled from a roller kiln. Residual heat from industrial processes or heat energy provided by a hot blast furnace can also be used for maximum energy efficiency. As hot air is forced into the drying chamber from multiple points, moisture is removed so there is always dry, hot air inside the drying oven for maximum drying results. Multi-point temperature recorder measures temperature at multiple points across the drying chamber, and keeps the temperature curve in check.

45° pitch angle bevel gears and variable speed motors are used for easy adjustment and control of drying cycle times.
