Sandblast glass, also known as sand covered glass, gets the name from its frosted surface. It is produced by using an automatic horizontal or vertical sandblasting machine that sprays a mixture of water and diamond dust at high pressure onto the glass surface. This process involves sand flower glass and sand carving glass as well.
Sandblast glass has a rough texture with bumps and grooves that diffuses light passing through it, creating a translucent but not transparent surface. This type of glass is commonly used in places like bathrooms and office partitions where privacy is needed.
