Guide for Cutting
A. Saw blade idle running: Especially when using a new saw blade for the firsttime, the blade should be rotated without cutting for over 30 minutes, andwater should be used for the idle running in hot summer days. The purpose is toeliminate the influence of segment on the saw blank during the welding process, and help ensure quality cutting when the saw blades are running underhigh speed.
B. According to the length, width and height of stone block, adjust the travelswitch, so the rise and fall of saw blade or the charging wagon can be keptwithin an effective range. Before cutting, the distance between segment and thehighest position of stone block should be 10-20mm. After the cutting, thedistance between the segment and the bottom of stone block should be 20-40mm.When the cutting of saw blade is changed from left to right or right to left, the blade should be out of stone block completely, and the distance should beat least 150-200mm to prevent the blade from striking against the block.
C. The saw blade can only cut the block aftersteady rotation. When the segment is touching the stone block, the saw bladecan not be loaded to run (rotate); also when the blade is cutting the block, the rotation can not be stopped until the blade is out of the block completely.
D. In case that the stone block is vibrating in the process of cutting, stopthe cutting immediately. Cutting can be continued only when the block issettled steadily.
E. If there is any unnormal low cutting speed or the bladeis nipped while cutting, it is possible that the strap is sliding or thecompression nuts become less crowded or the cutting depth is too much or thefeed speed is too fast. This should be adjusted in time.
F. The linear speed should be adapted to the hardness and the abrasiveresistance of stone; we suggest you select from the following linearspeeds for cutting different types of stone.

G: Recommended Cutting Techniques of Multi-blades
| Granite Class | Cutting Depth (Forward + Backward) | Feeding Speed(m/min) |
| Class 1 | 1.2-1.5mm + 1.1-1.3mm | 12-15 |
| Class 2 | 0.7-1.0mm + 0.6-0.9mm | 12-15 |
| Class 3 | 0.5-0.6mm +0.4-0.5mm | 11-13 |
H. Feed speed mainly depends on the performance of cutting tools (which usuallymeans the quality of segment). Every type of tool, given a certain cuttingdepth, provides feed speed which falls within aspecific range. If the speed is too high, the diamond of segment will beconsumed quickly and even fall from the bond, and thus the life of the segmentwill be short. If the speed is too low, the blade's self-sharpening can not beconducted normally so that the blade becomes blunt to lose cutting ability.Generally speaking, the feed speed should be slow when the blade cuts in, anduniform when it is sawing.
I. Regarding the cutting depth, the medium hardness stone such as marble andlimestone can be cut out at one time. Hard or abrasive stone such as granite, sandstone should be cut several times. When using a single blade for cuttinggranite, the cutting depth is generally 4-8mm, and for cutting marble, thedepth w is 15-30mm. When multi-blades are used for double-sided cutting of hardgranite, the cutting depth is 3-5mm. Anyhow, thecutting depth should be decided on the basis of the hardness of stone, theperformance of saw blade and cutting machines.
J. If the rotation direction of the saw blade is the same as the movementdirection of stone, we call it same-direction-cutting; otherwise we call itcontrary-direction-cutting. In the process of contrary-direction-cutting, thereis an upward vertical strength which tends to lift the stone block. So, inorder to make the block steady, under the same conditions, it is recommended totry to use same-direction-cutting. As for contrary-direction-cutting, thecutting depth should be reduced, and should be 1/3-->1/2 ofsame-direction-cutting depth.
