Carbon steel pipe is produced by hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing of the hollow billet which is obtained through perforation of steel ingot or solid bar. To ensure high intensity, carbon steel pipe has to go through flattening test through production.

Generally, carbon steel tube is made of superior quality carbon steel including ASTM1010, ASTM1020, ASTM1030, ASTM1035 and ASTM1045. Made of ASTM1010 or ASTM1020 low-carbon steel, seamless steel pipe is mainly applied for transportation of fluids. Made of ASTM1045 or ASTM5140 medium-carbon steel, seamless steel pipe is usually used for manufacturing of machine parts such as force components for automobiles and tractors.
