Cleaning and Maintenance
The wedding dress should be cleaned as soon as possible after wearing if there are stains left on it; otherwise, the stain may stay too long on the dress and cause unnecessary difficulties for cleaning.
Cleaning
Wet cleaning
1. If the stain left on the wedding gown is wine or champagne, please wipe it using white vinegar or detergent while padding a towel underneath the dress; then use absorbent paper to dry the excess liquid to avoid the spot leaving behind.
2. Such small ornaments on the wedding dress as sequins and crystals can hardly resist the erosion of chemicals used in the dry cleaning; therefore, wet cleaning is suggested.
Instead of using washing machine or dehydration treatment, please soak the wedding apparel in clear water with the mixture of mild and neutral detergent for a while; and then, the wine stains and oil stains left on the wedding dress can be easily washed away while the wedding dress is being in shape and having ornaments safely on it.
Dry cleaning
1. Some wedding garments, for example, made of silk, acetate fiber, rayon and other fabrics, especially need dry cleaning. Please ensure to use the filtered washing solvent and figure out the type and location of stains to avoid residual.
2. We do not truly think the special cleaning methods recommended by laundries are necessary or cost-effective; if insisted, a reputable laundry is essential and a careful check on the cleaned wedding dress is important.
Satin
Hand wash the satin made wedding dress using dedicated laundry soap and detergents; wedding apparels with different colors should be washed separately; long-time exposure under the blazing sun is prohibited.
Chiffon
Gently wash the chiffon made bridal dress separately.
Taffeta
Soak the Taffeta made wedding dress in warm water with the mixture of liquid soap or detergent; wash gently and avoid long-time exposure under the blazing sun.
Lace
Gently hand wash the lace made wedding dress; its decorative parts should be washed separately.
Drying
1. After cleaning, the bridal gown should not be exposed under the blazing sun for a long time; otherwise, the wedding skirt, floral decorations and crystal beads will become fragile and fall off easily.
2. Please do not hang the wedding dress up for a long time to avoid the gravity or vertical force unnecessarily lengthening the skirt.
Preservation
Store the wedding gown in a cool and dry place, such as in a closet or under the bed; storage in the attic or basement is strongly objected. In the preservation, please make sure that the hands are clean and the cosmetics are kept away so as to prevent the generation of marks or stains on the wedding dress as time goes on.
