The thin glass substrates for flat panel display (FPD) come with small size and are manufactured in assembly lines. To ensure product quality, measuring machines must be used to inspect their flatness, warping degree, thickness and other parameters. The equipment has to own extremely high efficiency so as to guarantee inspection quality. Traditional methods such as optical measurement can not meet customer's actual measuring needs.

1. According to the size of customer's glass substrate, we made the workbench using marble, and based on the characteristics of products to be measured, the working surface was processed by unique slotting process. Different slotting process is used for the glasses in different specifications. This process can prevent against adsorption, and what's more it can combine other technologies to ensure high measuring speed, accuracy and stability.
2. The glass to be measured is quite thin and easy to deform, so we continuously improved and modified our coordinate measuring machine on structure, glass positioning method and other aspects to avoid deformation and ensure measuring precision.
3. Since the glass substrates feature flow production, it is necessary to inspect their quality at any time. This requires the measuring equipment has to boast high efficiency and low fault rate. Otherwise, it will reduce production efficiency. To handle this problem, we perfectly integrated the up to date digital measuring technology, data processing technology, network database technology and high precision mechanical system, control system and laser scanning probe system into the optical CMM.
