Lap joint flange is similar to hubbed slip-on welding flange, while the difference is that it has a stud end at the intersection between the inner bore and the flange facing, which is used to accommodate the flange pad. It is generally applied in the part of a pipeline system where quick assembly and dismantle and easy inspection are required.
