Industrial spray booths for boat and marine finishing

Marine and yacht paint booths are built for coating work on hulls, hull sections, full yachts and large marine components. They keep the temperature, airflow and humidity steady, which helps the coating settle smoothly on fiberglass, aluminum and steel surfaces.

A sealed booth also keeps dust and moisture away during spraying and curing, which is crucial on wide hull panels. Bright and even lighting helps operators see how well the color is covering the surface, check the gloss level and spot small defects, especially on the long and curved sections that are very common in boats and yachts. These booths can be combined with other equipment of a marine coating line, such as powder coating rooms, curing ovens, wash bays, prep rooms, paint mixing rooms and storage for flammable materials, giving workshops a complete and organized setup for marine refinishing.

Design Considerations for Marine & Yacht Paint Booths

Structural strength

Marine booths often handle oversized parts, so the overall structure needs enough strength and rigidity to support the large dimensions and long spans.

Sealed door systems

Doors such as electric lifting doors, folding doors or sliding doors must provide good sealing and resist wind pressure to keep dust, moisture and outside air from entering the booth.

Laminar airflow

Many marine booths use a top-down airflow design, where clean air comes from the ceiling and is pulled out through the floor or lower side channels. The downward airflow helps carry the overspray away from the hull, keeping the coating cleaner and easier to control as the coating work is carried out.

Hot-air circulation system

Stainless-steel heaters combined with corrosion-resistant ducting help avoid rust problems, especially in the high-heat and high-humidity conditions found in marine coating work.

Heavy-duty transfer carts or turntables

These electric platforms allow large hull sections to rotate or move into position, helping operators reach different sides without blind spots.

High-access work platforms

The upper parts of a hull are hard to reach because of the height and curvature. Lift platforms or elevated walkways allow operators to access those areas safely for spraying or checking the surface.
