Helical Mixer
- Video
Helical mixers are suitable for high-viscosity, non-Newtonian, and shear-sensitive materials that need steady circulation with controlled shear. The mixer combines a high-speed dispersing shaft with a low-speed helical mixing shaft, allowing dispersion and bulk material movement to work in the same tank. During operation, the helical blade pulls material up from the bottom of the vessel and sends it back through the batch, creating an up-and-down rolling flow inside the tank. Thanks to the radial and axial motion during mixing thicker materials circulate more evenly, temperature distribution is more consistent, and overall product homogeneity during processing is improved.

- The helical blade continuously lifts and spreads the material from the bottom to the top of the tank, creating a three-dimensional circulation pattern that helps the batch mix faster and more evenly.
- The vertical structure takes up less floor space, which makes the helical mixer easier to place in production areas where workshop space is limited.
- Lower energy consumption helps reduce operating costs during mixing, especially when compared with less efficient traditional mixing methods for similar materials.
- Electronic safety protection and overload protection devices help protect both the operator and the helical mixer during operation.
- Some models have four universal wheels, so operators can move the helical mixer between workstations when the production layout or batch handling process changes.
Technical Drawings
We can prepare technical drawings based on the required equipment configuration and project needs, with initial drawings available within 3 days. After order confirmation, we can also provide detailed assembly and disassembly diagrams, factory layout drawings, production line flowcharts, and other supporting documents for the corresponding equipment when needed.
Dispersing Disc Configuration
Wear-resistant stainless steel discs can be shaped with serrated edges to create the shear needed for dispersion. Their size and structure are selected according to the mixer power, material viscosity, and process requirements, so the discs can work properly with the helical mixing action.
Customized Vacuum, Heating, and Cooling Systems
Vacuum, heating, and cooling systems can be customized according to the material, production process, and customer requirements. For products that require better hygiene control, corrosion resistance, or cleaner processing conditions, material contact parts can also be customized with food-grade SS316L stainless steel.
