Product Introduction
Mechanical tees are intended to connect piping directly to a system. The fitting outlets are supplied with female pipe threads (FPT) or grooved. These are designed to save labor and provide an excellent flexibility as well as cost savings to the contractor, in both labor and material costs. When using a U-bolt mechanical tee, there is no flame needed for cutting the hole or assembling the mechanical tee, making it an ideal choice for retrofit and MRO work. Smaller versions with U-bolts are designed to provide a flow to a single sprinkler head or device, such as a thermometer or pressure gauge.

Features
1. Over-tightening of the U-bolts on a thin walled pipe may cause distortion or damage to both the pipe and fitting, resulting in joint failure.
2. EPDM gaskets are supplied as standard (-34ºC) -30ºF (+110ºC) +230ºF. Optional: Silicone gasket (-40ºC) -40ºF (+117ºC) +240ºF
3. Painted finish options: epoxy, dacromet, hot-dip galvanized
4. U-bolts adhere to ASTM A183 standards.
