Crawler-mounted hydraulic DTH drilling rig is equipped with auxiliary rod changer, which enables one-person operation. With a power unit composed of diesel engines and hydraulic oil pumps, the rig is efficient and energy-saving. A hydraulic motor facilitates drilling, feeding, lifting, walking and hydraulic cylinder positioning.

Basic Blast Hole Drilling Process
- Inspect and survey the site before blast hole drilling;
- Analyze the rock statistics and geological structure to design the effective and safe drilling method;
- Design the drilling method, implement drilling plan and detonate the explosives;
- Clean up the debris just like in the open mine blasting process.
What are the characteristics of the blasthole drilling rig?

Which is suitable for open pit mining, crawler-mounted drilling rig or tuck-mounted drilling rig?
Though truck-mounted rig has the advantages of high travelling speed, it is not capable of handling complex terrains and facilitating heavy-duty drilling jobs. And it requires multiple engines and regular maintenance of tyres.
