TQ340-35Y casing tongs are now widely seen in oil fields and mines, where they are used to make up and break out the casing and couplers on the casing. High working efficiency, maximum safety, and great reliability are the major benefits of our tongs for end users. Built to reduce labor intensity, this borehole casing gripping tool is very handy when it comes to tightening up the connections between threaded casing pipes to decrease the risk of accidents from well bore due to improper placement of casing.

Features
1. The open-throat design allows the casing tongs to easily grip onto or move off from the large-diameter casing pipes. One-piece tong head design gives good strength and rigidity.
2. Movable jaw plates are easy to remove and install. Their optimized design ensures a tight grip onto the casing.
3. Brake bands are used to apply more torque to slow down or stop the rotating tongs. They are easy to operate, repair, and replace.
4. The open-throat ring gear at the tong opening is supported by new bearings which greatly improve the rigidity and strength of the gear.
5. Hydraulic swing-cylinder motor delivers large torques at a relatively low speed. Mechanical devices are used to allow easy gear shifting. Their simple structure gives reliable performance.
6. The casing of our casing pipe tongs are made of manganese steel plates for enhanced strength. Various jaw plates are constructed from high precision alloy forgings to give an attractive appearance and high strength.
7. TQ340-35Y casing tongs can be equipped with the tong-torque gauge. They also provide ports for connecting devices that can measure the number of turns of the gauge. This facilitates the torque control by computers.
