Uses for FR Series CNC Router
VICUT CNC engraver with rotary axis serves two main purposes.
1. 2D engraving & cutting
FR series CNC routers can perform cuts on almost any flat surfaces, such as PVC, ABS Sheet, wood sheet, aluminum sheet, and brass etc.
2. 3D rotary engraving
By swapping out the fixed table, operators can use this CNC engraving system to do carving around cylindrical parts. During this operation, observers would notice movements along 4 axes at the same time.
FR Series CNC Router Components Explained
1. Base
The base is a welded structure made of heavy-duty tubular steel which has been precisely machined by gantry milling machine and stress relieved through vibration equipment. The resulting foundation remains steady over the operational life of 4-axis CNC router.
2. Water or Air Cooled Spindles
Multiple spindles are geared for mass production of solid wood, MDF, acrylic, aluminum and plastic carvings. Power options available for the spindle include 220V-2 Phase-50-60Hz, 220V-3 Phase-50-60Hz, and 380V, 3Phase-50-60Hz. Router tools are 3.175mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 12.7mm in diameter.
3. Load-Bearing Bar
Spindles are mounted on a load-bearing bar which is made of thick aluminum, on which we put also reinforcing plates. The strengthened structure offers better impact resistance and eliminates shaking.
4. Square Linear Guide
Quality 25mm square linear guide provides high rigidity, and resists vibration and shock.
5. CNC Display
PC based CNC display provides a user-friendly interface that allows operators of CNC wood router to freely control relief carving or other types of woodworking or metalworking process. If you are a small business owner who needs the accuracy and production capacity of the large wood engraving machine, this CNC router is sure to be one of your favorites. Differential signal input and output facilitate signal control. Other desirable features include: power failure protection function, linear interpolation, circular interpolation, intelligent pre-fetch (prepared data beforehand for later use), reverse cutting, backlash compensation, breakpoint continuation and block skip, etc.
6. Rotary Axis
With rotary axes, operators are able to carve out various cylinders, irregularly-shaped objects, crutches and cylindrical crafts of different diameters. Customers should specify the number of rotary axes to be installed on the CNC router.
7. Central Oil Lubricator
The oil lubricator makes it easier to lubricate all moving parts on the 2D or 3D CNC router. Just pull the device gently and oil will reach where it is needed.
8. Control Cabinet
Housed inside the mobile, double-door enclosure are neatly wired electronic components. This enclosure allows for easy access and servicing when needed. Every wire is attached with a tag so that when service is required, the customer can easily identify each part in the cabinet.
9. Photoelectric Limit Switch
More sensitive and durable than traditional mechanical switch, maintenance-free for long term use.
10. Foot Pads
Foot pads make it easier to level the machine accurately.
11. PowerMILL CAM
Operators can program VICUT engraver in the PowerMILL CAM software. The program file would contain 3D operation commands which can be recognized by a 3D scanner. All A-, X-, Y- and Z-axes are able to move at the same time.

1. 3D Scanner
