The cement mill grinds material by rotating a cylinder with steel grinding balls, causing the balls to fall back into the cylinder and onto the material. The rotation, between 4 to 20 revolutions per minute, depends on the diameter of the mill. The larger the diameter, the slower the rotation.

Mineral processing equipment can grind material that is 1/4 inch and finer down to a particle size of 20 to 75 microns. Operating in a closed system for efficiency, these milling machines use various classifiers, such as screens, spiral classifiers, cyclones and air classifiers, for dispensing the final product.

Features

Working principle
The cement mill is a horizontal rotating device. Materials are transferred through a quill shaft to the grinding chamber, where there are ladder and ripple liners and steel balls with different specifications. The centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the barrel rolls the steel balls around so they grind the material, which is then discharged.
