Butyl Rubber SwellStop
The butyl rubber SwellStop is a new kind of product, combining the advantages of common rubber products and hydrophilic function. This butyl rubber hydrophilic waterstop features better and more reliable waterproof performance than common rubber.
Butyl rubber swellstop has more superior performance and outstanding features than common rubber products. Once contacting water, the swellstop will expand to 2~3 times to fill all empty space and gap of the joints and prevent linkage and penetration by creating huge pressures. When construction joints are moving and the gaps exceed the elastic range of the waterproof materials, the common rubber products will lose the waterstop functions while the butyl rubber swellstop can swell to stop water through continually absorbing water. The butyl rubber swellstop is a highly versatile and material-saving product, which can eliminate the elastic fatigue caused by large compression of common elastic materials, to achieve a better sealing and waterproofing effect.
