Description

The SDEC R series diesel engine is known for its high power, high torque, low fuel consumption and low vibration and noise. It features an applicable power range of 101 to 143Ps, and integrates an overhead cam, four-valves, variable section supercharging system and other world advanced technologies. It is the first choice for diesel power for high quality and light busses, meeting Chinese IV and V emission standards.

The R series is a product of the same name influenced by the Italian VM company, and is well known on the European market for its strong power and excellent performance, leading to its wide usage in the Alpha Romeo, Chrysler navigator, Land Rover Defender, Jeep Grand Cherokee and other world-famous LDV, MPV, SUV and other vehicles.

Fuel system The high pressure common rail system customized by BOSCH for the R series has a fuel injection pressure of 1600bar. Precisely controlled multiple injection, coupled with a vertically and centrally mounted injector arrangement ensures a uniform atomization and full combustion. This series engine satisfies China IV and China V emission standards. The oil consumption per l00km is as low as 4L. The power covers 101~143Ps.
Aspiration method With four-valves per cylinder, an aluminum alloy cylinder head, dual overhead cam system, volute casing FGT (fixed geometry turbocharger) or electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger, the torque and dynamic response of the engine are both improved, with a maximum torque of 340N.m. It has a strong power and excellent adaptability to working conditions. With low fuel consumption, the operation cost is low.
Design features By referencing the international first-class engine standards and using GPDP development processes, this engine has a compact structure and light weight, which is 30-50kg lighter than the similar products. Driven by timing belt, it has a low vibration with a noise 3dB (A) lower than the similar products. The roller type rocker arm reduces the engine height and friction loss. A hydraulic tappet ensures good contact between valve and rocker arm without gaps. It is light weight, with a larger load bearing capacity. With low noise and vibration, it is comfortable to drive.
Reliability features This series engine is based on the engines with the same name from the Italian company VM, and are a popular choice due to their reliability, advanced technology, and leading performance. Using a tunnel type closed cylinder structure, the rigidity of the whole engine is better. A piston with inner-cooling air passage reduces the heat load. The cracking connecting rod offers reliable positioning, and the forged steel crankshaft is wear resistant. Using an automatic production line and assembly line customized for the R series by GROB and other international first-class equipment manufacturers, it is controlled by an MES system. Referring to the SPS system guarantee from the German Volkswagen manufacturing standards, the product has an excellent consistency and high reliability. Matching adaptability Optional horizontal and vertical models make it easy to arrange different car models. Engine and assembly are performed by matching optimization and customization based on assembly configurations and actual operating conditions. This engine can be paired with various gearboxes: 5MT/6MT/6AMT.
