Description

The SDEC R series truck engine has a high power, large torque, low fuel consumption, low vibration and noise. With two engine models of 2.5L and 2.8L, its power ranges from 101 to 143Ps. As a matching power for high-end light-duty truck, it is equipped with an overhead cam, 4-valve, variable geometry turbocharger system and other world leading technologies, satisfying Chinese IV and V emission standards.

The R series is derived from an Italian VM product of the same name, which is popular on the European market for its strong power and outstanding performance. The R series can be used in domestic, light duty trucks, and features an oil consumption (per 100km) that is 4L less than other similar products, thus increasing the efficiency and reducing operating costs.

Fuel System The high pressure common rail system customized by BOSCH for the R series has a fuel injection pressure of 1600bar. The multiple injection is precisely controlled and the fuel injector is vertically arranged, giving it a uniform atomization and full combustion. This engine meets China IV and China V emission standards. The fuel consumption is as low as 4L. The power covers 101~143Ps.
Aspiration Method With the use of 4-valves per cylinder, aluminum alloy cylinder head, double overhead cam system and volute casing FGT (fixed geometry turbocharger) or electronic control VGT (variable geometry turbocharger), the torque and dynamic response of the engine are improved with a maximum torque of 340N.m. It features with strong power and good adaptability to working conditions. With low fuel consumption, the operation cost is low.
Design features By referring to international first-class engine standards and using GPDP product development processes, the engine features a compact structure and light weight, which is 30-50kg lighter than the similar products. Driven by the timing belt, the vibration is low and the noise is 3dB (A) lower than the similar products. The roller rock arm reduces the height of the engine and the friction loss. Hydraulic tappet ensures that the valve and rock arm are of good contact without clearance. With light weight, it is of more loading. The noise and vibration id low, comfort for driving.
Reliability This engine is derived from the product of the same name of Italy VM company, which is mass-used, mature, reliable and leading in performance. By using tunnel closed cylinder block design, the entire engine has better rigidity. The piston with inner-cooling oil cavity reduces the heat load. The cracking connecting rod has reliable positioning and the forged steel crankshaft is fatigue resistant. This engine adopts automatic production line and assemble line customized for H series by GROB and other international first-class equipment manufacturer and MES control system. By reference to SPS system guarantee of German Volkswagen manufacturing standard, the product is of good consistency and high reliability. This engine is famous all over the world with good user reputation, featuring with maturity, reliability and high uptime.
Matching adaptability The optional vertical and horizontal arrangement is convenient to the layout for different vehicle models. The matching optimization and customization of the engine and assembly are conducted based on the assembly configuration and actual operating conditions. Various gearboxes can be matched with, including 5MT/6MT/6AMT. Flywheel ,flywheel house, generator, air compressor, steering pump and other peripheral spare parts also have various configurations to choose. The entire engine is of flexible arrangement with abundant peripheral accessories, applicable to many vehicles like pick-up truck, light-duty truck, etc. The power performance, economy and comfort are optimized simultaneously to meet various application demands.
Repair and maintenance The hydraulic tappet can automatically adjust the valve clearance without maintenance. Wet cylinder liner is convenient to maintain. The maintenance cost is low and the uptime is high.
