Problem that the customer is confronted with:
Large error exists in the measurement of car body. Measuring solution should have relatively high error tolerance.
Auto body is constructed from stamped sheet metal by means of assembling and welding methods. It is also called body in white. To control autobody size, inspections and measurements have to be conducted on four doors and two roof covers, front wall assembly, floor assembly, side wall assembly, rear wall assembly, roof assembly, etc. Measuring 200-400 key features may result in large error. Therefore, measuring solution has to provide high tolerance. Repeated measurement with 2-3 times a day requires automatic measurement solutions. Based on these requirements, we recommended our Summary series gantry coordinate measuring machines. They employ touch trigger probe system and come with automatic error adjusting program that can automatically search high errors.
